Automated Sample Reformatting with the Genie GLS1
Overview
Sample reformatting is the process of transferring samples from one labware type to another. Automating sample reformatting saves labs time, effort, and accuracy. The Genie Sample Reformatting protocol transfers up to 96 samples from a 96 flat-bottom plate to 2mL tubes in a 4×6 tube rack. Users input the number of wells to transfer to tubes and the transfer volume.
Workflow
1
Open the Sample Reformatting protocol and run the protocol in simulation.
2
Create your protocol's instrument settings.
3
Input the number of plate samples to transfer to tubes and the transfer volume.
4
Set up your instrument's deck, and run your protocol.
