Automated Normalization with the Genie GLS1
Overview
Normalization is the process of diluting samples with variable concentrations to a uniform concentration. Normalization is a key step in many genomic and proteomic workflows. Automating normalization can save labs time, effort, and accuracy. The Genie Normalization protocol normalizes samples from a 96 flat bottom assay plate and diluent from a 3-column reservoir to a 96 well PCR normalization plate. At runtime, users input the concentration and volume to normalize (up to 8 samples) as well as the initial concentration of each sample.
Workflow
1
Open the Normalization protocol and run the protocol in simulation.
2
Create your protocol's instrument settings.
3
Input your normalization volume, concentration, and sample (1-8) concentrations.
4
Set up your instrument's deck, and run your protocol.
